In Poland, four more Ukrainians were identified in the investigation of sabotage on the railway – media

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that two citizens of Ukraine, with whom the intelligence services of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation have long been cooperating, were involved in the sabotage of November 15–17.

According to Onet, the persons indicated by Tusk did not act independently – Polish services identified four more of their accomplices. Police know their identities and addresses, media sources say.

Government services in Poland and the United States are discussing incidents on the Polish railway, writes RMF24, citing several sources. The media notes that the United States paid close attention to them and, in particular, the US National Security Agency (NSA), responsible for electronic intelligence and communications security, joined the case. In addition, the head of the US Senate Armed Services Committee, Roger Wicker, said that this act of sabotage requires a decisive response from the United States.

Context

On November 16, Polish police reported trains stopped east of Warsaw due to damage to a section of the railway line connecting the capital with the Dorogusk station on the border with Ukraine, which also carries trains to Lublin, Chelm and further into Ukrainian territory.

Tusk announced the bombing of the railway track on the Warsaw-Lublin route and called it “an unprecedented act of sabotage aimed directly at the security of the Polish state and its citizens.” He added that this line is also “crucial for the delivery of aid to Ukraine.”

The General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, commenting on the sabotage on the railway, expressed the opinion that we are talking about hybrid war, and the possible aggressor is the Russian Federation. Polish prosecutors have launched an investigation into acts of terrorist sabotage between November 15 and 17, including damage to tracks near the villages of Mika and Golomb using explosives.

On November 18, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that the source of sabotage was the Russian Federation.

On the same day, a representative of the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, accused Poland of Russophobia.
