November 7 11:04
Today, November 7, on the tower of the Krasnoyarsk City Hall, instead of the traditional chime of the main city clock, the melody from the song “And the Battle Continues Again” by Soviet composer Alexandra Pakhmutova sounds. This is how residents and guests of the regional capital are congratulated on October Revolution Day
You can hear musical greetings at 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00.
The main city clock congratulates Krasnoyarsk residents on the holiday
The history of the holiday dates back to 1917, when the Provisional Government was overthrown in Petrograd. The Constituent Assembly was dissolved, and the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, came to power. They created a new supreme body of government – the Council of People's Commissars.
Let us remind you that the tradition of playing various melodies on holidays and significant dates appeared at the main Krasnoyarsk clock in the summer of 2019 under Mayor Sergei Eremin.
The arrangement of famous melodies was performed by Alexander Polyakov, a teacher at children's music school No. 4 named after Dmitry Hvorostovsky. The launch of the first melody took place on Knowledge Day.
