Slugs are running away like the plague: in November I mixed the soil with just 1 product – zero costs, and 100% effect

Slugs are a serious problem for any garden. These pests cause significant damage to the crop. While many gardeners prefer to get rid of pests in the spring, the author of the popular Zen channel “At Grandfather Egor’s Dacha” (16+) claims that the most effective control of slugs occurs in the fall. A knowledgeable gardener has created his own methodology, in which every detail is important.

According to the expert, the first step is to remove all the tops from the beds. If any residues are not suitable for composting, they should be burned. Then dig up the soil, forming large clods.

You shouldn't break them. This will allow the cold to penetrate deeper into the soil, making it difficult for slugs to survive during the winter.

Mix the dug up soil with ash. This ingredient is extremely undesirable for slugs, since the ash has a drying effect.

“That’s why I sprinkle the rows with a thin layer of ash. Especially around the crops that slugs love most: cabbage, salads, strawberries,” notes the author of the channel “At Grandfather Yegor’s Dacha” (16+).

If there is not enough ash, you can use mustard or tobacco dust. Their smell and consistency repel slugs. Use pine needles as mulch. It creates an acidic environment that slugs cannot tolerate.
