The President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelanski again declared on Thursday that Kiev is ready to buy at least 10 Patriot air defense systems from the USA. For many months, Ukraine demanded this for many months from its allies in the form of help.

“Ukraine is ready to buy at least 10 systems. I discussed this minimum with the president (Donald) Trump during our telephone conversation. He told me that America would work on it,” said Zelanski at a press conference.
“I have no further information so far,” he added and noted that he is conducting “separate talks with European countries because it is very expensive.”
On Thursday, Zelnski repeated his offer to buy 10 Patriot systems, which he first submitted to Washington last week. Then US President Donald Trump, when asked by journalists about this issue, stated with a snack: “He always wants to buy rockets.”
As the AFP agency writes, analysts estimate that the export of Patriot battery can cost up to $ 2.5 billion, and the export of each rocket shell for this system costs up to $ 10 million.
On Friday, Zelanski asked Ukraine's allies to provide 10 additional Patriot systems in connection with the growing number of Russian air attacks.
“We really need it” – he appealed in a video speech addressed to the contact group for the defense of Ukraine, which met at the NATO headquarters in Brussels.
Over the past three years, Ukraine has received several Patriot batteries from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands and Romania. (PAP)
