Expectations towards candidates were also presented. This is part of the formal procedure for selecting people who will be responsible for the strategic management of one of the largest concerns in Central and Eastern Europe.
It is already known that one of the candidates will be the current president of Orlen, Ireneusz Fąfara.

Orlen is looking for a president of the management board, but not only that. The company is also recruiting for vice president positions.
It is worth noting that the competition does not cover the positions currently held by three members of the management board: Witold Literacki, Marcin Wasilewski and Paweł Wojtunik. There is a new position for development and investment.
Orlen informed that Candidates can be submitted from April 2 to April 16, 2026, until 12:00.
As Orlen points out, the procedure is open and formal. Its aim is to select candidates who meet specific competence criteria and professional experience required for managerial positions.
In practice, the process includes:
- analysis of candidate applications,
- assessment of their qualifications and experience,
- job interviews,
- recommendations for relevant decision-making bodies.
