Allied fighters stationed in Malbork and – as part of the NATO Baltic Air Policing mission – in Lithuanian Shawl and Estonian Amarari, they are involved in patrolling space over the Baltic States, Poland and the Baltic Sea; There are, among others It is intended for responding to repetitive incidents in which Russian aircraft violates the Natural airspace or, for example, do not respond to calls.
Currently, in Malbork, apart from Polish MiG-29 aircraft, British Eurofightery and Swedish grimens are stationed, which support Polish aviation in air space protection. For the Swedes, the mission in Malbork is historical – this is the first time Swedish aviation is located outside the country.
