As he explained, the land was to be used to develop corn cultivation – a key raw material for the company's production plant.

Vice President Dawtona says what's next with the plot for the CPK
“I have been trying to buy this land since 2018 because it is located about 10 km from our plant. We come from a family of farmers and we treat land as a tool for work, not speculation” – says Wielgomas, emphasizing that Dawtona wanted to own the land, not lease it, due to the planned long-term investments.
The land issue has aroused the interest of the National Center for Agricultural Support, but the company's vice president declares full readiness for talks and cooperation. “We want to talk and we will definitely find a solution,” he assures, adding that the most preferred option is to exchange the plot for another agricultural area of similar quality, close to Dawtona's production plants. This would allow the development of crops to continue close to the company's infrastructure.

Alternatively, as he pointed out, the company is ready to sell the land to the state. According to “PB” information, such a solution could come into force next year, but it requires the prior adoption of the government strategy for the development of the areas around the STH and the adoption of general plans by the municipalities. These documents will allow for a formal change in the intended use of the plots, and thus open the way to purchase.
Wielgomas emphasizes that if such a scenario occurs, KOWR will be able to purchase the land at the price on the date of its purchase. Therefore – as he argues – the company's activities are transparent, and its intention was not and is not to use planning changes for private profit.
