Cristela Georgescu allegedly collected tens of thousands of lei from a company involved in transactions with the company of a former KGB agent from Tiraspol

Cristela Georgescu, the wife of the former candidate in the presidential elections, is mentioned in an ANAF report on possible suspicious transactions. According to an investigation, she allegedly collected the sum of 40,000 lei from an insolvent company, without presenting evidence of the services provided.

The money would have been diverted through a service contract concluded between the company Marsala Koncept SRL, based in the Port of Constanța, and the PFA of Cristela Georgescu.
According to the report drawn up by the company's receiver, the transaction raises questions, as there would be no documents attesting to the activity for which the payment was made, according to Fanatik.
Controversial links
Marsala Koncept SRL was controlled until 2023 by Osman Elbis and Ionel Rusen, each with 50% of the shares.
Ionel Rusen's name also appears in a DIICOT file, alongside Călin Georgescu. The two are accused by a businessman from Buzău of having damaged him with one million euros. Rusen was also accused by the millionaire Ioan Niculae of having damaged him with 500,000 euros, a complaint also reached DIICOT.
The company that allegedly paid Cristela Georgescu was involved in a large-scale scandal in the past, after in 2022 it exported more than 3,000 tons of diesel to the Sheriff company in Tiraspol, located in the Transnistrian separatist region, de facto controlled by Moscow. Sheriff is owned by former KGB agent Victor Gușan, considered close to the Kremlin.
Transactions under the magnifying glass of ANAF
Although Marsala Koncept reported a turnover of over 160 million lei in 2022, in just two years the figure dropped drastically, with debts exceeding 25 million lei. The receiver claims that the company would have been “driven by contractual misappropriation, bad loans and unjustified payments for services not performed”.
In this context, the contract with the PFA of Cristela Georgescu is mentioned in the report as suspect, being possibly a fictitious contract, according to the preliminary conclusions.
The activity of Cristela Georgescu
In addition to PFA, Cristela Georgescu also owns the company Cristela Georgescu Education SRL, through which she carries out educational activities. The company, established at the end of 2023, has only one employee, and in 2024 it reported a turnover of approximately 250,000 lei and a net profit of 25,727 lei. However, the financial details of his PFA are not public.
