The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, criticized some of the Government's measures, on Monday, on Antena 1, and said that the Government's third package must “also include positive measures, measures to regulate some things, to relaunch the economy”.

“We came up with proposals for our coalition partners, which we submitted, to come up with some measures for the economic recovery. The measures we proposed were given to the coalition partners, I hope they agree with them, so that if there is this package 3, it will be a package that also includes positive measures, measures to regulate some things, for economic recovery”, said Sorin Grindeanu in the the show “Observator”.

Asked about the discussions regarding magistrates' pensions, in which the law adopted by the Government by assumption was rejected by the Constitutional Court, the PSD leader said that “a common point of view, not by force” must be reached in “good faith”.

He stated that he spoke with the PNL leader on Sunday and Monday.

“I don't compete with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan (…). We don't have any kind of, let's say, common colors to run together. I'm interested in what I told you earlier, no kind of competition with Ilie Bolojan, but, yes, I compete with the idea of putting society, or people, versus results. I don't agree with that,” continued Sorin Grindeanu.

Asked about the state of the relationship between the parties in the coalition, the interim president of the Social Democrats stated: “As long as the electoral battles between PSD and PNL or between PSD and USR were the ones you know, no one here expects brothers. No one expects us to make a big chorus of unity or to all applaud like in North Korea.”

“I think that people expect from us, from the PSD, because I cannot speak on behalf of others, to come up with public policies, to support our point of view, to try to argue very well to be accepted in the coalition and to move on”, concluded Sorin Grindeanu.
