On Friday, at the party's program convention in Katowice, the PiS president said that Poland has two options before it today. The first one, defined as “German-Brussels”, in the opinion of the PiS president assumes the creation of “one hegemonic state”.

According to Kaczyński, everything that began after World War II is to be finalized as “a great victory for Germany and the emergence of something like a new empire.” – The Germans want to take the country away from us. The French with them – I don't know why, but yes. European bureaucracy, well, it's on fire. Americans don't, Kaczyński added.

On Saturday, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote: “In view of Kaczyński's nonsense, once again. Poland is not threatened by the democratic, pro-European, Atlantic Germany. Neither is France, with which we have just signed a new defense treaty.” Sikorski added that “our region is threatened by Great Russian imperialism.”

Earlier, other politicians, including the head of government Donald Tusk, commented on the words of the PiS president. “'Germany and France want to take away our state,' announced Jarosław Kaczyński. My neighbor says that such cases are a madman or a Russian agent,” wrote the Prime Minister on X.

When asked about Kaczyński's words, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that “for the first time in history, the threat to Poland comes from one direction, not two.” – And we should take care of this direction. The threat comes from the east, not the west, and it is worth reminding PiS politicians – he emphasized.

He added that social sentiment is being stirred today “in several dimensions.” He emphasized that these sentiments are anti-Ukrainian, anti-Semitic and anti-German. – All three are very dangerous to the security of the Polish state – noted the Deputy Prime Minister.

According to him, PiS conducts anti-German rhetoric that is harmful to Poland's security. He recalled that Germany is our largest economic partner and assured that the government will seek compensation from Germany, but its practical form “also involves investments in the security of Poland and Europe.”

Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, emphasized that “nobody wants to take Poland, the real enemy is in the east.”

In her opinion, saying that Germany wants to attack Poland is absurd. She recalled that Germans and Americans are Poland's allies in NATO. – Are we in the North Atlantic Alliance, and I understand that PiS supports our membership in the Alliance, with the aggressors or with the allies – she added. – We should build our military strength and our economic strength, and not generate, invent and imagine new enemies that we do not have – emphasized the minister.
