The survey results indicate clear differences in the assessment of the minister's actions depending on political preferences. Among the voters of the ruling coalition, 68 percent assessed Żurek's activity positively, of which 37 percent “definitely positive”, and 31 percent “rather positive”. Negative ratings in this group were marginal – only 13%. respondents expressed a critical opinion.

Among right-wing opposition voters, as many as 59 percent assesses it “definitely negatively”, and another 11 percent “rather negative”.
These results differ slightly from the SW Research survey for Onet published on October 10. In this study 35 percent Poles assessed Waldemar Żurek's actions positively. 25.1% had negative opinions about him. respondents. The largest group – as much as 39.9 percent — were people who were unable to evaluate the minister or did not know his actions.
Waldemar Żurek became Minister of Justice during the summer government reconstruction. He replaced Adam Bodnar.
Żurek is the son of a miner and a teacher, Solidarity activists, in his youth an activist of the Confederation of Independent Poland, a forester and law graduate, a determined and consistent rebel judge who often had dealings with journalists and government administration.
The current minister has been associated with the District Court in Kraków from the beginning of his career, where he has been ruling since 2005. He served as the spokesman for civil matters of this court for over 14 years.
