October 23, 1975
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the Teploozersky Cement Plant was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor for the early fulfillment of the tasks of the ninth five-year plan, the great contribution of the team to the development of the cement industry of the Far East, improving the quality and increasing production output through reconstruction and technical re-equipment of production.
It was decided to build a new cement plant near the richest Londokovsky deposits of limestone and clayey shale. The plant design was developed on the basis of advanced technology and new equipment of the thirties; all building structures of buildings and structures were to be made of reinforced concrete, metal and brick.
In 1975, 910 thousand tons of cement were produced, and this is already 141% of the plan. The introduction of a comprehensive product quality management system at all technological stages made it possible to achieve the desired results. In the same year, the work of Teploozersk cement workers was highly appreciated, and the plant was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor.
This event was covered by the Birobidzhan Star newspaper (12+) on October 25, 1975. The front page of the newspaper tells about the event that took place at the cement plant in honor of the awarding of a high Government award.

The same information about the awarding of the plant was published in the Obluchenskaya newspaper “Iskra Khingan” (12+) for 1975, and a photograph was also posted showing the leaders of production – A. I. Chetverikov, A. B. Tsemerzhinsky, G. V. Stremeshina, I. I. Starovoitov, a former employee of the plant, Hero of the Soviet Union A. I. Kashirin.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” of 1936, on October 23, in the heading “Around the City and Region” wrote about the regional meeting of Stakhanovite hunters, which was dedicated to the implementation of the hunting season plan. At this meeting, seven hunters were awarded “Hunter Striker” badges, five hunters were awarded watches. “The meeting appealed to all hunters in the region to make the region the forefront in the region in this area of the economy, to launch the fight against poaching, to introduce mechanical methods of catching fur-bearing animals and to expand the ranks of Stakhanovite hunters.”
The same newspaper talks about how the region's artels are preparing to celebrate the 19th anniversary of the October Revolution: “The Worker Artel produces knitwear. The Own Labor Artel produces quilts, linen, ladies' dresses. The Wheel of Revolution produces forges, pokers, tin basins, stoves, pipes and beds.
The Naer Veg artel sews boots, burkas, leather gloves, men's and women's shoes. Artel “Khimsoyuz” prepares candles, wheel ointment and putty. Artel “Fisherman” will provide salted and fresh fish.”

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” published an article “In Harmony and Concord” about the first Far Eastern interfaith forum “Territory of Harmony” (6+), held in Birobidzhan. A proposal to hold an interfaith forum in Birobidzhan was made by representatives of four traditional religions – Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Buddhism.
The grand opening of the first interfaith forum “Territory of Harmony” in the Far East took place at the Birobidzhan Palace of Culture. The forum brought together hundreds of participants from 11 regions of the country – from Sakhalin to Dagestan, as well as from Tajikistan, representing traditional religions in the Far East and Russia as a whole: Orthodoxy, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, as well as journalists, scientists, and youth activists.
The purpose of the event is to consolidate society, intensify the interaction of religious structures with authorities and the public, discuss the strategy for the development of civil society and the interaction of traditional faiths in Russia.
Over the course of two days, various events took place simultaneously at eight forum venues: dialogue clubs, seminars, discussions, thematic exhibitions, competitions, presentations, and a gala concert.
As part of the forum, the grand opening of the first cathedral mosque in the Jewish Autonomous Region took place. The solemn ceremony was attended by representatives of all traditional religions – participants in the “Territory of Harmony” forum. The forum participants also visited the community center of the Birobidzhan Jewish religious community “Freud”, where they became acquainted with the traditions of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot that took place these days.
