Krasnoyarsk is hosting the country's main forum on the development of hospitality in Russia. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
This year the event became the largest in its history: more than 1,000 participants from different regions of Russia and abroad came to Krasnoyarsk. The forum program includes lectures, round tables and practical sessions dedicated to all areas of the tourism business, gastronomy and service.
In the coming days, experts, entrepreneurs, representatives of government, science and education will discuss the role of hospitality in the development of society, prospects for professional growth in the industry, and current issues of personnel training.
For the first time, the official delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Varazdat Minosyan, is taking part in the forum. The Krasnoyarsk Territory is actively involved in the implementation of the strategic partnership between Abkhazia and Russia, aimed at increasing the level of tourism services in the republic.
“For Abkhazia, which is currently experiencing a period of active growth, especially in tourism and agriculture, this forum is a unique opportunity. We urgently need qualified personnel in the hospitality industry, and such events are important for the exchange of experience,” noted Varazdat Minosyan.
On behalf of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov, the forum delegates were greeted by the first deputy head of the region, Sergei Ponomarenko:
“Twenty years ago it was difficult to imagine that our industrial city would host a forum dedicated to hospitality. Thanks to our restaurateurs, Krasnoyarsk today is rightfully considered one of the gastronomic capitals of Russia, and the Siberian Federal University Institute of Gastronomy trains personnel for the whole country. We already have noticeable successes in the field of hospitality – this is confirmed by prizes in Russian awards. But at the same time, there is still huge potential for growth.”
We would like to add that the forum is being held with the support of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality”; proposals from the event participants can be included in the updated version of the national project.
