Two earthquakes in a row occurred in Khakassia near the border with the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In Khakassia, two seismic events with a magnitude of more than 4 were recorded overnight. The epicenters of the tremors were located in the Beysky district of the republic, which is adjacent to the territories of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
According to the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the first shock of magnitude 4.2 occurred at 00:13 local time. The second seismic event of magnitude 4.3 was recorded at 9:52 am. The epicenter was located 3.5 kilometers southwest of the village of Kala, Beysky district.
There were no casualties or destruction as a result of the earthquakes. The Sayano-Shushensky hydropower complex is operating normally.
