Police detained two suspects in the theft of a Toyota Camry in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. A 56-year-old resident of Tomsk and a 39-year-old resident of Omsk came to Krasnoyarsk specifically to commit a crime.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in March the attackers responded to an advertisement for the sale of a car and, under the guise of buyers, inspected the car. They found out from the owner details about the anti-theft system and found out his address. In August, the criminals returned, found the car near the owner's house and opened it using special equipment.
Detention of Tomsk and Omsk residents for car theft in the Krasnoyarsk Territory
The car thieves transported the car to Mariinsk, Kemerovo region, after which they left for duty. Police found the stolen Toyota a few days after the theft and returned it to the owner.
Criminal investigation officers detained the suspects on the Kuskun-Voznesenka highway with the support of riot police. During the search, the police seized equipment for opening cars. The court took both defendants into custody.
