This year, Artemy Krugovykh returned to Russia from another country and entered the Moscow Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering. He registered for military service in August, but was not given a deferment, citing the fact that he did not enroll immediately after school.
In November, the student filed a lawsuit to appeal the draft board's decision. Despite this, the police caught the guy on the street and forcibly took him to a collection point. Artemy was informed that he was wanted and had no right to a deferment, although no cases had even been opened against the young man.
According to lawyers, police generally do not have the right to detain conscripts for delivery to a collection point.
