Chicken eggs, it would seem, are the simplest “thing”. But even choosing and cooking them correctly is not so easy. Often, a couple of eggs are brought back from the store broken, and the rest usually burst and crack during cooking. News agency EAOMedia will tell you how to “tame” eggs.
How to choose eggs in the store?
- The shell must be intact, without cracks or chips. This is important, since cracked eggs can easily contain “infection.”
- Also, the surface should be matte, not shiny. If the egg is shiny, it means it has been washed, and it will last less this way.
- Choose the freshest eggs, and don’t pay attention to their color, it doesn’t matter. But they must be kept cool and dry.
How to properly boil eggs?
This is what the author of the blog “Yazhepok” (12+) on the Zen platform (12+) advises.
Hard-boiled method: Place eggs in cold water, bring to a boil, cook for 7 minutes.
Soft-boiled method: Place the eggs in cold water and cook for 3 minutes after boiling.
Important: If you immediately put cold eggs into hot water, they will definitely crack. But there is a life hack: pierce the blunt end of the egg with a needle to enter the sac and release the air. Often it is this that expands when heated and breaks the shell. But in the case of a puncture, this will not happen.
