The Krasnoyarsk Public Health Center told how men can recognize chronic stress and why they shouldn’t be afraid to consult a psychologist.

Experts note that men are less likely than women to seek help, preferring to cope with stress in silence or through unhealthy habits. This threatens psychosomatic illnesses and relationship problems.
You should be wary of constant tension in the body, sleep disturbances, irritation over trifles, loss of interest in favorite activities and cravings for alcohol to relax.
Simple techniques help to cope with tension: deep breathing in silence for five minutes, any physical activity, the ability to switch in time. Hobbies where your hands are busy but your head is rested – fishing, construction, car repair – also work as an anti-stress.
The reason to contact a specialist should be a persistent feeling of emptiness and anxiety, loss of strength that interferes with work and communication, constant problems with sleep and appetite, thoughts of meaninglessness or death, a desire to isolate yourself from everyone.
The center emphasizes that taking care of your psychological state is a sign of responsibility, not weakness.
