Employees of the Krasnoyarsk traffic police conducted a preventive raid on Kalinin Street, where at the end of September a woman was killed under the wheels of a car while crossing the road in the wrong place.
Inspectors monitored compliance with the rules for crossing the roadway, and to intimidate and shock those who intended to violate traffic rules, they were shown the consequences of such carelessness – footage of accidents that occurred due to the negligence of pedestrians.
After watching the videos, the inspectors held conversations about the inadmissibility of traffic violations, and also reminded that a vehicle cannot be stopped instantly and the driver may simply not have the opportunity to brake in front of a person who suddenly runs out onto the roadway.
According to the traffic police, in this year in Krasnoyarsk there have already been 298 collisions withcollisions with pedestrians, in which 16 hourspeople died and 292 psuffered, receiving injuries of varying severity. Moreover, almost half of the cases occurred due to the negligence of pedestrian road users themselves.
