In Krasnoyarsk, thanks to subsidies, new enclosures, walking areas and medical equipment are appearing in animal shelters. This was reported to the mayor's office.
In Krasnoyarsk, supporting organizations that help homeless animals is an annual practice. So, for example, in 2025, 4 million rubles from the city budget based on the results of the competition in the form of grants were received by: the animal protection center “My Dog”, LLC “Bereg”, IP Polyakova, LLC “Sopka”.
With this money, specialists installed 38 enclosures in shelters, 8 of which were installed at Sopka LLC. 24 dogs have already been placed there. At Bereg LLC, workers equipped an additional transformer substation. It will help make rooms for animals bright and warm.
Walking areas have been created in the “My Dog” center. Now the animals have places for games, specialized exercises and rehabilitation, and the shelter of IP Polyakova purchased modern veterinary equipment, including an operating table.
“Financial support from the city allows non-profit organizations to improve living conditions for animals, improve the quality of veterinary care, and increase the number of places to keep animals stranded on the street,” noted the press service of the city administration.
At the same time, the mayor’s office explained that this year the amount of funding for shelters will be 5 million rubles. You can get a grant to work with any animal. The organization must be non-profit and officially registered, and also have documents for land plots.
Applications can be submitted through the Electronic Budget system.
