Tesla under the microscope of the Donald Trump administration. Cars were driving against the flow

Tesla said it was aware of 58 reports of electric cars committing such violations, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) documents, the BBC reports.

An estimated 2.9 million cars equipped with fully autonomous driving technology will be subject to investigation. NHTSA's initial assessment will “assess the scope, frequency and potential safety implications” of Full Self-Driving (Supervised).

In this mode – which costs extra for Tesla owners – cars can change lanes and turn, but drivers must always be alert to take control at a moment's notice.
