In Rus' on Feckla, women sat down to spin – this promised good luck in household chores. That is why the holy was called the hindle. Men continued the threshing, which they started in the morning. The names of Ovina also celebrated: the owner gathered all the workers in it and treated them with porridge. In the evening, festivities with songs and games were arranged.
Russian people believed that on Thekla everything that you tie could no longer untie. Therefore, weddings often played on this day. It was believed that such a marriage would be long and happy, and nobody will be able to separate his wife and her husband.
