Donald Trump about the proposal of Vladimir Putin. It's about controlling nuclear weapons

Vladimir Putin He declares his readiness to extend the New Start Treaty for another year, if the United States takes identical actions. What Donald Trump?
Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, said on September 22 that he is ready to extend the New Start treaty for a year, which limits the number of strategic nuclear armor in the possession of Russia and the USA. The Russian leader emphasized that the condition for implementing this plan is an analogous decision on the part of the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
“It seems to me a good idea,” Trump replied, referring to Putin's proposal.
Putin proposes, Donald Trump agrees. “Russia is ready to follow the limits”
The New Start Treaty signed in 2010 limits the number of nuclear heads placed to 1550 on each page and establishes a limit of 700 placed rockets and bombers. Currently, the agreement expires on February 5, 2026, but Russia suggests a temporary extension of its validity for a year.
“Russia is ready to continue to follow the central quantitative limits resulting from the New Start Treaty for a year after its expiry,” said Putin during the meeting of the Russian Security Council. He also added that this decision aims to support the global non -spraying policy and revive the dialogue with Washington.
Putin noted, however, that Russia would not take unilateral action. “We believe that this measure will only be feasible when the United States follows in a similar way and does not take steps that undermine or violate the existing balance of deterrent ability” – emphasized the Russian president.
The voltages in the relations between Moscow and Washington, related to the treaties on the control of arms, intensified after Russia's full -lock invasion at the beginning of 2022.
