The new Prime Minister of France got time until Sunday evening. Tax plans for the richest

The president also demanded that the appointed government consist of 25-26 ministers and secretaries of state, and that he would be “very political” and “capable of talking to the left,” BFMTV said.
The prime minister previously announced that the government would be created before the parliament began work, i.e. before October 6. This means that the government should be appointed over the weekend. However, the Republican party (continuator of the Gaulist Right), participating in the previous office, set its own conditions. Chairman of this formation and the current head of the Ministry of Interior Bruno Retaillau He made her participation in the new government on promises in the matter of immigration. Republicans are to talk to the premiere on Saturday evening.

Lecorn is to present on Tuesday in the parliament the general policy declaration (expose). This will be the first opportunity for the opposition to submit a vote of no confidence in the government, which Extremely left -wing France has already announced..
Another opportunity will later be voting on the draft budget act for next year. In each case, for the application to pass, you will need the support of the Socialist Party (PS) and the far -right National Union (RN). The republican position will also be important.
Trying to win the PS, the prime minister announced on Friday that he would give up resorting to the article of the constitution allowing to accept laws without voting (Article 49.3). He surprised the socialists, whose slogan was the fight with this controversial – although legal – mechanism used by Lecorn's predecessors. This concession may be insufficient, however.
Tax for the richest
The prime minister has so far been compromised so far when it comes to another left postulate – taxation of the richest. Socialists want the top of the richest in France, whose estates exceed EUR 100 million, pay a tax of 2 percent. income (called Zmana tax). It is a very small group, estimated at about 1,800 people.
Lecorn rejects Zmanan tax, which he calls “dangerous” for the economy and employment. However, he proposed a tax on holding not regarding “professional estates”, which, however, neither affects the richest fortune, nor will he bring to the budget such great revenues that according to the left would give Zmana tax.

On Saturday, the economic journal Les Echos said that Lecorn also plans – to convince socialists – the burden of taxpayers whose revenues exceed EUR 250,000 a year (or couples with an income above EUR 500,000), which would bring about EUR 3 billion in budget revenues.
The tax name comes from the name of the French economist Gabriel Zman, who has been in favor of global tax for billionaires for years. He argues that Super BOGs do not make a living from the income, but from the capital itself (e.g. shares of enterprises that control), thanks to which they use tax rates lower than all other taxpayerswho have to pay income tax.
