The general draws attention to the disturbing scale of Russian actions. “All this can lead to a situation of such a kinetic clash with the Russians,” he warns. In his opinion, the likelihood of a “critical script”, i.e. the shooting of the Russian object, is growing. At the same time, it reassures that from 2014 Russia has repeatedly violated our airspace and the Baltic States and conducted incidents in the Baltic Sea.

Gen. Pytel about Putin's fears. “He was in a trap”
The general talks about one more issue. He notes that Russia is not making breaks on the front now, and this war “costs a lot of blood.” Gen. Pytel believes that Vladimir Putin is in this connection to fear some internal crisis. “That's why he somehow simulates the war with the West for the needs of internal policy,” he says.
The former head of SKW emphasizes that “Putin must maintain a hot front,” because for him it is not the most important acquisition of territories, but to maintain power. -He was trapped since February 2022, when this operation was to last 2-3 weeks, it turned into a great war, for which Russia was not prepared-says the expert.
