– The war that Ukraine is fighting, with the support of Great Britain, Europe and America, is huge. I suspect that for a year of conversation (in the case of suspension of weapons – PAP) they will be continued. The question is how seriously Russia approaches these conversations – said the head of British diplomacy.
Lammy expressed admiration for Ukrainians, in particular for “their perseverance and steadfastness”. – The fact is that even if the world left them, they would still wage a guerrilla war, they believe in their country so much. It's very inspiring – he emphasized.

The minister returned to February 28, when during the meeting of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelanski with US President Donald Trump in the oval office there was a row between them. Lammy admitted that he felt anger at the time and reminds himself that he did not do more to support the Ukrainian side in preparation for this meeting.
He reminded that the next day Zelanski flew to Great Britain to talk to the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. For Lammy, the embrace of these two leaders on Downing Street is symbolic. – It was the moment when the whole world breathed a sigh of relief. (…) This moment was the personification of the return of Great Britain to a place where I would like us to be: as bridge builders, a binder that helps to combine many different parts of the world – he explained.
A disturbing vision of the nuclear war between Iran and Israel

In his opinion, the decision, made in June by the US to bomb Iran, was not intended to overthrow the government. Lammy said that although many want to destroy the Iranian regime, he noted, “there is no guarantee that what replaced the current body of the guards of the Islamic Revolution is not as bad or worse.” He added that Great Britain focuses exclusively on actions not to lead Iran to become a nuclear power.
“The Guardian” pointed out that in recent weeks Lamma speaks much sharper about the Gaza Strip, calling civilian shooting waiting for help to “sick” and demanding from Israel the “settlement” of the perpetrators of these events. In an interview, the minister said that the situation is dramatic for both the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip and Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas, and “the world desperately wants to suspend their weapons, ending suffering.” The head of British diplomacy announced that he wanted to go to the Gaza Strip “as he could”.
Asked by the journal, as he would describe his mission, Lammy called her “progressive realism”, explaining that this means the use of pragmatic methods to achieve progressive results in the face of the weakening position of Great Britain. – Until now, this meant the reconstruction of our relationship with the EU, rethinking the way we use our influence in the international arena and, what is crucial, management of relationships with Donald Trump – he mentioned.
