A drone was detected today, September 28, 2025, near the 08R track of Henri Coandă International Airport, determining the temporary suspension of landings and redirecting the aircraft in the area. Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the drone operator and prevent risks on flight safety.

The aircraft landed safely, and, as a preventive measure, the landings were temporarily suspended, and the aircraft in the area were directed to waiting points.
Subsequently, the landing operations were resumed on the other airport, without incident.
“The safety of passengers, crews and all participants in air traffic remains our absolute priority. We remind that Dronelo operationR in the area and near civil or military airports is strictly forbidden. Their unauthorized use represents a major risk for flight safety and constitutes a criminal act, sanctioned according to the law ”, transmitted the National Airports Company Bucharest.
The incident was reported immediately to the competent authorities, which initiated an investigation to identify the drone operator and establish the legal measures that are required.
