In Russia, from March 1, 2027, they will begin to automatically deprive the driver's license of those from whom doctors will reveal dangerous for driving the disease. This was told by TASS by the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Sergey Leonov.
According to him, medical bases will be connected to the systems of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If the doctors record contraindications, the information will immediately go to the department, and the certificate will be canceled. At the same time, only a mark on the car drive will appear in the database – they will not disclose the diagnosis.
The deputy noted that the new rules concern not only mental disorders, but also cases of alcohol dependence or alcohol delirium. Similar measures are planned to be applied to the owners of weapons. Now the situation is different: even with serious diseases, the driver can remain behind the wheel until the end of the document, which is ten years.
