A unique shot of a meteorite falling over Yamal was published by the chief physician of the Salekhard hospital, Alexey Dobrovolsky. As Yamal 1 reports, the celestial body was recorded 20 minutes’ drive from the village of Tazovsky early in the morning on November 14.
The meteorite flashed in the sky at 6:15 am, leaving a bright trail. Dobrovolsky was on a business trip to Yamal villages.
According to the doctor, during this time he witnessed several rare natural phenomena – in addition to the meteorite, he observed the northern lights and the optical effect of a halo, when three suns are visible in the sky.
