In Kodinsk, the chief engineer of the timber processing complex received a bribe of almost 2 million (video)

Suppliers of conveyor equipment from Irkutsk are suspected of a commercial bribery. This was told in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Employees of the Economic Security and Combating Corruption Department with the support of the Security Service of a large timber industry holding found that the Irkutsk company-supplier of conveyor equipment illegally provided its organization with contracts for the supply of spare parts with the Kodinsky timber processing complex.

According to law enforcement agencies, from July 2021 to October 2024, the leadership of the Irkutsk company transferred more than 1,800,000 rubles to the chief engineer of the timber processing complex in Kodinsk in the conclusion of contracts.

During the operational-search measures, the 47-year-old commercial director of the Irkutsk company was detained, the 38-year-old sales manager, earlier police officers also detained the 44-year-old chief engineer of the Kodinsky plant.

In relation to the suspects, criminal cases were instituted under Part 4 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Commercial bribery on an especially large scale”, under Part 3 of Art. 204.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Mediation in a commercial bribery on an especially large scale” and under Part 8 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal receipt by a person performing managerial functions in a commercial organization, money for performing actions in the interests of the giving”.
