Byd, a world leader in the production of electric vehicles, is today official present in Romania, “introducing state-of-the-art technologies and efficient models, 100% electric and hybrids plug-in DM-I, on a new important car market”, as the company representatives say.
In the presence of over 400 people, at Face Club Bucharest, Byd officially entered the Romanian market, with ambitious plans for opening over 30 showrooms until the end of 2025.

Customers in Romania have, in the initial offer, SUV and sedan models, in different engine variants. The top model of the range is Sealion 7, a 100% high -performance, 100% performance SUV, which reaches 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and offers an autonomy of up to 502 km due to the Blade battery.
Customers can also opt for The elegant Seal, a sedan that benefits from the same high-tech construction as Sealion 7but with a more aerodynamic profile, which contributes to an autonomy of up to 570 km (WLTP).
The byd range available in Romania is completed by ATO 2, a compact SUV with an excellent quality-price ratio. It combines a spacious interior, ideal for families, with useful technologies for daily activities, keeping the revolutionary Blade battery and the construction of Cell-to-Body, also encountered on the Sealion 7 and Seal models.
Byd aims to open 30 showrooms on the territory of Romania
The first sales centers are already opened in Bucharest, in partnership with Tiriac Auto and DAB Auto. The company estimates the expansion of the network to over 30 points of sale at national level until the end of 2025, including in cities such as Ploiești, Brașov, Iași, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Constanța, Pitești and Craiova.
