The Bank of Russia began working on a new banknote with a dignity of 500 rubles, said Sergey Belov, deputy chairman of the Central Bank, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Yes, we started working on the creation of a banknote with a face value of 500 rubles. <...> The new five hundred will be made in lilac-violet shades, like her predecessor, ”he said. The Central Bank adheres to the color palette, which was characteristic of the banknotes of the 1997 sample so that people can easily recognize denominations.
The new bill of 500 rubles will be dedicated to the North Caucasus Federal District and its center-the city of Pyatigorsk. Back in 2022, experts of the regional working group formed a preliminary list of attractions. Soon he will be considered in the Central Bank. After that, a public vote will take place, which will decide what will be depicted on the bill.
The five -hundred -piece banknote now on the circulation is dedicated to Arkhangelsk.
