The Russian espionage accuses that troops are massaged in the territory of Romania to invade the Republic of Moldova after elections

Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) accuses NATO countries on Tuesday that they are preparing to invade the Republic of Moldova after Sunday's elections and that forces are concentrated in Romania in this regard.

“European bureaucrats based in Brussels are determined to maintain the Republic of Moldova on the right track with their Russian policies. They plan to do this at any cost, including by conducting the troops and the de facto occupation of the country. Currently, NATO member states concentrate their armed forces in Romania, near the Border with the Republic of Moldova.”

He states that a NATO “landing” is prepared for the Odessa region of Ukraine “to intimidate Transnistria” and that “the first group of career military in France and the United Kingdom has already arrived in Odessa”.

“This scenario has been repeatedly practiced during the NATO exercises in Romania and could be realized after the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova on September 28. European officials are afraid that the gross falsification of the results of the vote, prepared by Brussels and Chisinau, will force the Desperate Citizens to come to the street, to the request, then to the request. The European states will be obliged to oblige the Moldovans to accept a dictatorship under the pretext of European democracy ”, says SVR.

Russian spy is also talking about “armed challenges” against Transnistria

The Moscow Intelligence Service also writes that “Brussels does not intend to abandon its plans to occupy Moldova, even if the situation immediately after the elections does not require external intervention” and that “the troops are expected to take place a little later. To create a pretext, armed challenges against Transnistria are provided.”

The statement sent by SVR comes just one day after the Bloomberg agency has shown, based on confidential documents it has obtained, that Russia has designed a plan to intervene in the elections in the Republic of Moldova and to undermine the Government's efforts to keep the country on the way to the European Union.

Russian campaign to influence elections in the Republic of Moldova

The strategy targeting several directions was completed in the spring and directly coordinated by the Kremlin. The purpose is to undermine the chances of the Party Action and Solidarity of President Maia Sandu at the election on September 28 and, finally, to remove it from power.

Sunday elections will take place less than a year after the referendum on the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the EU, adopted by a fragile majority, against the background of Chisinau's accusations regarding Kremlin interference.

Among the tactics revealed by the documents obtained by Bloomberg are the recruitment of Moldovans from abroad, including Russia, to vote to the polling stations in the EU and other parties, to send others to organize disturbing protests and an extended misinformation campaign on social networks. Another essential component of the plans of Vladimir Putin's presidential office is the use of compromising materials to press public officials to disrupt the electoral process.

Dozens of people detained in the Republic of Moldova after a wave of searches

Over 250 searches were carried out on Monday in the Republic of Moldova, in a criminal case aimed at preparing destabilization actions before the Sunday's parliamentary elections. The authorities announced that 74 people were detained, some of them having connections with political forces and criminal structures.

The head of the General Inspectorate of Police (IGP) of the Republic of Moldova, Viorel Cernăuțeanu, the director of the Information and Security Service (SIS), Alexandru Musteața, and the chief prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Special Crime (PCCOCS), Victor Stfună, held a common press conference on the search.

The criminal case on mass destabilization was started in July, announced Victor Furtuna, the chief of the prosecutor's office.

People were to be in Serbia, to participate in mass disorder actions.

During the investigation there was links of people with political forces and criminal structures, said the head of the National Police, Viorel Cernăuțeanu.

For his part, the head of SIS announced that “behind the activities was a person who presents himself as a representative of the Special Service in Russia” and that “the networks of the telegram channels affiliated to Ilan Șor were used.”

Prior to the official announcement made by the authorities with the balance of searches and the plans for “mass disorder actions”, socialist leader Igor Dodon, former president of the country, said that searches were also conducted for organizations of his party and were detained “several colleagues”.

Russia, behind the destabilization plan

The director of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS), Alexandru Musteața, said that the coordinator of the preparations in Serbia behind the actions in Serbia stood a person to be from a special service in the Russian Federation:

“It was established that behind the planning and coordination in Serbia, according to our data, on the spot, the direct coordinator of these trainings was a person who was presented on behalf of a special service from the Russian Federation, having a name” BES “(…)

At the same time, another exponent of the Russian special services, which was involved in the coordination of several groups from the Republic of Moldova, was established as a citizen of the Russian Federation, Andrei Pavlov Vladimirovici, officer of the General Directorate of Military Information of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, an entity known under the acronym. in the electoral context. It is suspected of planning and organizing on the territory of Moldova of some subversive acts, financed from the Russian Federation, in parallel using Șor's network to identify and recruit more people on the Telegram groups associated with the Șor group, this being known under the name “FIL 007” LI “FIL 01” “.

Crucial elections for the future of the Republic of Moldova

The Kremlin did not respond to the request for comments from Bloomberg on the documents he obtained on his plans for the elections in the Republic of Moldova. However, Russia has repeatedly claimed that it does not intervene in elections in other countries.

During the referendum on EU accession and last year's presidential elections, a spokeswoman for the Moscow Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected the accusations as “Russophobia” and ironized that they are “an essential component of the European Moldova project.”

The stake now is whether the Republic of Moldova continues its way to European integration, after enrolling the objective of accession in the Constitution, or if it is reoriented to Moscow, in the context in which Putin does not give any sign that he wants to end the war against neighboring Ukraine.

“The purpose of the Kremlin is clear: to capture Moldova through the ballot box, to use us against Ukraine and to turn us into a launching ramp for hybrid attacks against the European Union,” Sandu told European MPs on September 9th. “That is why these choices are very important. By defending them, we protect not only Moldova, but also regional security and stability,” she said.
