Young man caught after he stole over 51,000 lei from a supermarket

A 27-year-old man from Târgoviște was caught by police after he had stolen about 51,500 lei from a safe in the Administrative Bureau of a supermarket in Pucioasa, Dâmboviţa county. The author was identified with the help of images captured by the surveillance cameras.

According to the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Dâmboviţa, the incident was notified on Thursday evening, September 18, by appeal to the unique emergency number 112 by the store representative.

The police have established that the unknown man entered the supermarket, accessed the Administrative Bureau and took the money from an uninsured safe, leaving the store later.

“Following the investigations carried out and watching the images from the surveillance cameras, the police have established that the author would be a 27-year-old man from Târgovişte. Shortly after, he was identified by the police from the Târgovişte Municipality, while he would have moved to the road, to the road, lei ”, said IPJ Dâmboviţa.

The man was taken to the police headquarters for the continuation of the investigations, and a criminal case for qualified theft was drawn up.
