Michał Sołowow’s Companies Halt Production in Ukraine Amid Ongoing Attacks

Cersanit and Barlinek, two companies owned by billionaire Michał Sołowow, have announced a complete halt of production in Ukraine. The decision follows significant damage sustained at the Cersanit facility located in Zwiahel, Zhytomyr Oblast.
The company explained that extensive destruction at the facility makes rebuilding impossible under current conditions. Following attacks on September 11 and 12, Cersanit had already announced a production suspension lasting at least six months.
Barlinek Stops Production in Ukraine
Barlinek, another company owned by Sołowow, has also ceased production at its facility in Vinnytsia. The company cited the current security situation in Ukraine, characterized by frequent air raids, power outages, and other operational hazards, as critical factors preventing stable and safe operations.
Barlinek also referenced a deadly attack on its plant that occurred in July 2025.
