Ukrainian Government Updates Military Reservation Rules Amid Revisions

The Ukrainian government has introduced new military reservation rules, which are still subject to revisions. During a recent meeting, the government did not finalize its decision on lowering reservation limits for critical industries, planning to refine these changes over the next five days.

Previously proposed adjustments included reducing the reservation percentage limits: for defense and energy sectors from 100% to 85%, and for housing and communal services from 75% to 60%.

Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the establishment of a Coordination Center for Reservation Issues, which is set to be developed within one day. This center will include representatives from various security services, including the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), the Foreign Intelligence Service, and the National Police, along with members from the humanitarian sector.

Members of parliament have also indicated the removal of the norm regarding a 50% calculation base. Consequently, provisions remain in place for accounting employees with deferments, such as students, caregivers, and parents of three children.
