Ukrainian National Guard Destroys Russian K-8 Drones in Zaporizhzhia
The National Guard of Ukraine’s unit, known as “Khortytsia,” successfully destroyed advanced Russian K-8 “Dvushka” drones in the Zaporizhzhia region. Unlike the enemy’s “Molniya” drones, the K-8 can reach speeds of up to 150 km/h, is more maneuverable, and carries 5 kg of explosives. The Russian military has deployed these drones for strikes on positions and to support its logistical operations.
The K-8 was introduced by Russian forces in 2024, but its operational use has only begun recently. The drones were intercepted by the “General Chereshnya AIR” interceptors, showcasing the effectiveness of Ukraine’s defense capabilities against emerging threats in the ongoing conflict.
