Mariupol Defenders Rescue Lost Students in the Carpathians

Defenders from Mariupol successfully rescued a group of lost schoolchildren in the Carpathian Mountains. While descending a hiking trail, the defenders encountered the exhausted students, who had lost their way. Offering their support, the defenders carried the children on their shoulders, helping them reach a safe location.

This incident occurred during a session of “Gorotherapy”—a retreat aimed at providing psychological support and post-traumatic growth activities for Mariupol defenders, organized by Rinat Akhmetov’s project “Heart of Azovstal”. The rescue served as a poignant reminder for participants that they can still be strong, helpful, and impactful in civilian life.
