President discusses air defense challenges

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has raised concerns regarding Russia’s plans for a new massive strike against Ukraine, stating, “We are preparing for a response.” During a conference call, he noted updates from Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmar and Air Force Commander Anatolii Kryvonozhko, who reported on the distribution of air defense resources and the protection of critical infrastructure.

Zelensky highlighted the necessary ammunition for F-16 fighters and other interception systems is being secured. However, he pointed out the most pressing issue remains the availability of ballistic missile defense systems, a matter he emphasized is reliant on international partners whom Ukraine engages daily.

In a recent update, Zelensky reported that Russian forces attacked several Ukrainian hospitals in Kramatorsk and Kryvyi Rih within the day. He also announced the implementation of additional logistical measures in response to the ongoing Russian assaults, although specific details were not disclosed.
