A parliamentary group from the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has accused external forces of exerting pressure in a media attack directed at co-head Arsenii Pushkarenko. The group, which focuses on inter-parliamentary relations with Estonia, alleges that the campaign is linked to Estonian businessman Oleg Osinovskii, who has previously been the subject of sanctions discussions by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.
According to the statement, companies associated with Osinovskii transported up to €777 million worth of Russian iron ore to the European Union since the onset of the full-scale war, including products from billionaire Alisher Usmanov’s group. The parliamentary group has reported these concerns to the NSDC, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign Intelligence Service, and the Estonian parliament, labeling the media attacks as attempts to pressure them because of their stance.
