Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a stark warning regarding the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in warfare, particularly as Russia integrates AI technology into its drone operations. He stated that the advancement of lethal weaponry throughout the ongoing conflict has escalated into a global concern.
“We must slow down its development before we transition to the next stage,” Zelensky emphasized, highlighting the urgent need for measures to mitigate this threat.
He reiterated the importance of achieving peace in Ukraine to avoid reaching a critical point where AI-driven weaponry could dictate military strategies and actions.
