Zelensky Urges Trump to Discuss War De-escalation with Xi

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reached out to former President Donald Trump to communicate with Chinese leader Xi Jinping about potential measures to de-escalate the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Zelensky expressed confidence that China has a vested interest in this dialogue.
Specifically, Zelensky mentioned the possibility of establishing a ceasefire related to energy and grain supplies. He believes that such initiatives would serve as a tangible demonstration of Russia’s willingness to reduce tensions.
“I asked President Trump, and he said he would pass everything along to Xi,” Zelensky stated regarding his conversation with the former U.S. leader.
