Recent reports have revealed that Russia is deploying Shahed drones straight from the production line to target Ukraine. Details released alongside photographs of the drones indicate their manufacturing dates, which were reportedly marked on the components.
According to Serhii Beskrestnov, the date shown in the photo pertains specifically to the component itself, while the assembly of the Shahed drones occurred at a later time. He emphasized, “The enemy continues to attack us with Shahed drones literally straight from the factory.”
Context
On September 17, Valeriy Zarubin, CEO of BlueBird Tech, noted that Russia is significantly increasing its use of Shahed drones. He reported that while Ukraine recorded approximately 180 instances of such drones throughout 2025, this number skyrocketed to about 2,800 by August 2026.
