Man Arrested in Poland for Ordering 300 Pizzas Using Politicians’ Names

A 23-year-old man was arrested in Poland after harassing several individuals and restaurants through fraudulent delivery orders, according to reports.

The suspect placed a single order for approximately 300 pizzas, totaling €8,583. He used the names of politicians as recipients and included threats in the delivery instructions.

Polish authorities intervened as cases of harassment through false delivery orders began to rise again.

The man faces up to eight years in prison for harassment, identity fraud, and causing financial damages to local restaurants. The unpaid meals were sent to randomly selected residents.

A court has ordered the suspect to be held in preventive custody for two months.

Some of the orders contained detailed descriptions about the victims, which authorities stated could only have been known to the individuals or their close associates. His actions thus constituted a violation of privacy.

The threats included kidnapping a minor, arson of a notary office, and causing a traffic accident.

Local media reports that the man used personal data of well-known figures from politics and media, naming them as recipients of the meals.

Deliveries were primarily intended for addresses in Szczecin, but orders were also placed in other cities, including Wrocław, Kraków, and Warsaw, where over a dozen such incidents were recorded.

Not all orders were fulfilled; in some instances, restaurants declined to accept them for technical reasons, especially when the number of portions made efficient preparation impossible, as was the case with the order for 300 pizzas.
