Challenges Ahead as Russia Intensifies Civilian Targeting Strategy

Brovdi highlighted the deep civilizational divide between Ukrainians and Russians, emphasizing that it extends beyond doctrines to personal values and attitudes towards human life. He urged civilians to remain resilient and vigilant, stating that the most difficult trials lie ahead.
The commander of the Security and Defense Forces noted that defense forces are pushing the war back to where it originated—in Russia. He pointed out that Ukraine targets objects that finance the Kremlin’s military operations, while occupiers engage in mass terror against the civilian population, resulting in innocent casualties.
“This strategy of ‘punishing civilians’ will only escalate, which is clear. Therefore, maintain constant functional vigilance and readiness instead of consuming emotional content and disinformation that reinforces existing exhaustion. Control your personally devised and verified action plan amid irregular airstrike announcements. Steel your nerves and fortify your spirit. Take care of yourselves and those around you,” he stated in his address.
Brovdi assured that the Security and Defense Forces are continuously inflicting pain on the enemy.
“This is not a sprint but a marathon filled with significant obstacles—a crucial test of endurance,” he concluded.
