Russian rappers, pop singers, and ex-bad boys & girls began to submit their new tracks for special examination in advance – to check their creations for all kinds of violations. In order not to get bans and cancellations of concerts and to outplay and destroy complainers and informers.
Since the beginning of this year, three legal centers in Moscow have conducted 28 comprehensive linguistic examinations of 134 songs. They were looking for profanity, drug propaganda, extremism and everything else bad that contradicts the legislation of the Russian Federation. Workers from the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences were also involved in evaluating the texts. According to Mash, rockers, rappers and pop singers pay for the procedure out of their own pockets.
The study takes about two weeks and costs about 60 thousand rubles for 12 texts. If there are more of them, the price will increase.
You can, of course, do without an examination, but then there will be nothing to show the security forces if they come with an inspection during the concert. And if the case goes to court, a new study will have to be ordered.
