In 2024, a liter of absolutized isopropyl alcohol – this is used for the production of washing – costs at least 140 rubles. Consequently, the price of one canister will increase from last year’s 600 rubles to the current 1000 rubles, and there will be even more season. People complain of a new formula: expensive, freezes and smells bad.
The price increased due to the fact that they were forbidden to use methanol for production, they say, citizens began to use liquid inside. The head of the National Automobile Union Anton Shaparin told Mash that the organization asked the government to cancel the ban. So it will be possible to buy a cheap quality product. Another problem is firms that produce non-freezing, illegally using methanol, and then sell on the street without any security certificates.
