Ukrainian Defense Ministry Unveils New Drone ‘Dovbush T40’

Ukrainian Defense Ministry introduces new drone

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has introduced the ‘Dovbush T40’, a new drone capable of remaining airborne for over a day. According to the ministry, this duration is sufficient for conducting combat operations targeting sites in Russia’s Ural and western Siberia regions.

During testing, the ‘Dovbush T40’ demonstrated several advantages over its counterparts. These include reduced radar visibility, a highly efficient engine with electronic injection, and significant resilience against electronic warfare.

Various equipment options allow the drone to perform deep reconnaissance, adjust artillery fire, and execute precision strikes either through bomb drops or kamikaze-style missions, as noted in the announcement.

The ministry concluded, “A vast territory does not guarantee safety for the enemy.”

Context

  • Ukrainian UAVs have previously reached as far as the Ural, with the FP1 successfully striking a Russian oil refinery in Omsk on July 6.
