Iran wants money from tankers

The US President thus referred to Iran's announcement, stating that he will collect tolls [opłatę] for allowing tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Its amount was to reach USD 2 million. for one unit passing through this waterway.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press agency, citing information provided by a “representative of the regional authorities”, reported that the plan for a two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran assumes allowing Iran and Oman to collect fees for passage through the strait. Oman announced it would not do this.

On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the US and Iran announced that they had agreed to a ceasefire. Part of the truce, achieved through Pakistan is Tehran's reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
