Ukraine’s Men’s Volleyball Team Reaches Nations League Playoffs for First Time

Ukraine’s men’s volleyball team has achieved a historic milestone by advancing to the playoffs of the Nations League for the first time. In their final match of the group stage, the team, coached by Raúl Lozano, secured a 3-1 victory over Germany, finishing in seventh place and earning a spot in the tournament’s final round.
Raúl Lozano expressed his pride in the team’s accomplishment, stating, “This is a historic result for Ukrainian volleyball. Our team competes on equal terms with the strongest teams in the world and ranks 11th in the global standings, despite facing incredibly challenging conditions. I thank the Federation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and the Epicenter company group for their support of the national team.”
In the quarterfinals, Ukraine will face the Polish national team. The final stage of the Nations League is scheduled to take place from July 29 to August 3 in Ningbo, China.
